F1rs -Monaco Tunnel

F1rs -Monaco Tunnel

Surely the tunnel at Monaco is not as dark as in F1rs.
I can only just see the barriers when I get right up to them.
F1 drivers say that it is dark at first, then their eyes adjust,
Surely the problem is that our eyes don't adjust to a dark screen.
It's not a gamma problem either because the rest of the game is very bright.

Do you have your gamma settings set in your autoexec.bat? I
don't and the tunnel is fine. My gamma in W95 is set to 1.2.
Coming out of the tunnel is a great lighting effect. I was amazed
that many drivers were blowing the chicane after the tunnel.
It wasn't just me :-)

The strange thing is the weather was variable, At the start it was misty and
I could see in the tunnel
later on as the clouds went and left a clear blue sky it was pitch black in
there.

I think it is meant to be that way,for example,in very bright sunshine,if
you suddenly go into darkness your eyes can`t adjust very quickly and it
seems very dark, however when it is misty this doesn`t happen,so the tunnel
seems lighter,

On the F1 broadcast this weekend the commentators specifically how
*brightly* the tunnel was lit. They said that it's almost as bright as being
in full daylight.

This may sound simple and patronising, but have you tried closing the
curtains in the room you are playing in. It makes very little difference
when the screen is bright, but on dark areas such as the tunnel, things
are a hell of a lot clearer.
P.S. F1RS does change the light levels soon after you enter the tunnel as
if you are becoming accustomed to the darkness...

Yep, Mike is right, since he's seen me do this when I play F1RS in my
room.
Also, you have got to remember that when you watch F1 on TV that the cameras
make the tunnel look brighter than what it really is.

So, I repeat this advice, make the room in which you are playing dark, cos
it really does help.

PS. Haha Mike, beat your time :)   (*** has probably beaten me again when
