Nascar for Mac Question

Nascar for Mac Question

by Paul DeCours » Fri, 07 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I just purchased Nascar for macintosh and have a couple of questions
for any other mac players. I'm wondering if there is a easy way to switch
the car you drive as you could in the PC Nascar. For example, use Dale
Earnhardt instead of John Smith. My other question is if anyone knows of
any sites with macintosh car sets for the new season, or if there is a way
to use the PC car sets and transfer them over to mac. Thanks for any
answers.

Hi Paul,

I'm not familiar with the Mac/NASCAR format, but there may be
a utility available to convert PC - Mac.  Have a look at The Pits
web site (Workshop section):

Paul,

Email me and I will send you the instructions for converting car sets to
the Mac (I have it prepared as a SimpleText file).

As for switching cars, the easiest way is to select on Dale's car (in the
Driver Info area), click on the save *button* to save the car to your hard
drive. Then, click on your name, then click on the load button (or is it
"open" instead of "load"?), and select the car that you just saved on your
hard drive. In a nutshell, you are saving Dale's car, then loading back in
under your name.

Jim
