I've made 1'54"97 at SPA, quite far away from the 1'50"5 of Jacques
Villeneuve (driver X).
I need reference from other players, Is it good or bad ?
It seems that I can't go any faster. Any tips ?

I have had 1 lap timed at 1m49 which I wont repeat for a long
while...damn lucky lap. My usual times are around the 1m51's...

1. Reduce the rear wing
2. Soften your suspension
3. Less front roll bar

These are just general idea's....for me its just driving the line
correctly. The difference between a wonderful lap and shit is real
real fine.

I always thought the key was La Source. When I got around that
corner fast, my lap times were good. When I had problems at
La Source, so did my lap times :-) At one point I thought La
Source might have gotten it's name because it was the source of
a good lap time at Spa. Just a guess though.

I started thinking about what I thought was the most critical section
and ended feeling like they were all fairly critical...hehe. But to me
Bus Stop is pretty important...the run up and execution of the chicane
are crucial in my eyes.

There's an online competition going on at the moment at Spa. Best
no-help race laps on C tyres seem to be High 1:46s / Low 1:47s.

My best race lap is 1:47.1 - On Ds I can do low 1:46s. If you want the
setup - email me.

The most crucial sections at Spa IMO are La Source, Eau Rouge and
Stavelot, since following every one of these corners is a long 190mph
straight. Any error exiting these corners will lose you time all the
way along the straight, and really hurt the lap time.

That's part of why Spa is so great, some real tough high speed turns
like Blanchimont and Eau Rouge, long high-speed straights, and tricky
twists like Les Combes and Bus Stop as well. Excellent :-)

Cheers!
John

Well , at the current race at SPA-Franchorchamp
the record for a 25% race (11 laps) is astonishing:
19:57,966 , Divide by 11 = 01:48,906 average lap
and this includes starting from the grid, with a
first lap somewhat off that pace !

By the way , time is set by Greg Hellmamn, from Germany
