F1 2000 - Spa lap times?

I'm not 100% familiar with Spa, but I've noticed that the time I get on
my "out" lap is around 3-4 seconds quicker than anything I can otherwise
post, because of the location of the pits in relation to the start/finish
line.  Is this a quirk of the game, or does the actual track have the
same characteristics?

P.s.:  And how the h*ll do you get through La Source?!  I can't seem to
modulate my brakes at a low enough speed to maintain pace through there!

It actually COUNTS/TIMES the outlap?  That's different.  I haven't run Spa yet,
but on the tracks I *have* run, it doesn't start timing until the first flying
lap...

Never argue with an idiot.  He brings you down to his level, then beats you

I had the same thing with Spa.  It was the only track I noticed this on.
I figured that if any other track would be so blatantly off it would be
Indy since there's such a long road after all the garages, but nothing
ever happened like that.

Yeah, it's kinda hard to keep track of your fastest lap this way - your
outlap is the fastest, and so you can't possibly reset the counter on
your display.  You just have to think "Well, I was plus 3.5 sec. last
lap, and I'm only plus 2.1 sec now..."
