N4- Cars not pitting.

I noticed at several tracks that the cars in N4, after getting in a wreck,
don't pit to fix the damage.

What's the deal?

Is there a setting I can change to fix this??

What about a setting for making the gas mileage not as good.

I don't know about that.  In a 98 lap race, I calculated I had enough to make
it all the way without stopping.  The AI pitted around lap 60 or so.
