Act-Labs Force RS question

by Ramon L. Negro » Tue, 13 Mar 2001 04:13:58

Hi:
Just last week got my Act-Labs Force RS to use with N4 and GPL. It
works great. The pedals are nothing to write home about but, they are
adequate. That's my first question, is there any way to adapt the CH
ProPedals to the Force RS wheel?

The other question is, is there any way to recenter the wheel when using
the Force RS with GPL, when I use it, the RS wheel isn't coordinated
with the wheel in the car.

Thanks for your help,

I can't help with the CH ProPedals question, but I've found that often when
I start a session in GPL the ForceRS is off-center when compared with the
wheel in the game, but after turning it full left and right a few times, the
game's wheel gets coordinated with the Force RS.  This may not be the same
thing that you're seeing, but it's worth a shot.  Good luck!

This problem has caused me so much grief in the F3 League. If you
smack a wall, spin-out and go to the extream travel of the wheel, I
must go to the extream oposite or the wheel will be off center. There
is just too much travel in the wheel. I am going to limit ine soon.

Just turn the wheel all the way to each end before you start driving and it
should be ok.

Which is very inconvient, like putting salt in wounds. I have already
lost time, and now I have to loose more time to recalibrate the wheel,
by taking it from side to side, and sometimes this does not fix the
problem.
