Does anyone know anything about this title? I have been looking around the
net for some info on it after reading the release date on the Highgear
website being Sept xx?

Does anyone have any links - info, screenshots etc as I have no idea what
the hell this game is...

Thanks
Matt

Apparently the complete title would be EA Sports V8 Challenge, a game
featuring Aussie V8 touringcars based on the STCC2 engine. Indeed slated for
an Australia only release early September. I got buddies down under looking
out for it.

And can't be worse than "Dick Johnson's V8 Challenge". That was one
hell of a ***game.

There are few things in this world worse that DJ's V8 challenge, and one
of them was another game based on the AussieV8 series...or the Bathurst
track anyway

Amazing how such a good and exciting racing series has never spawned a
decent sim....or even game ?

If it's the same one I recall it was a 'sim' that used actual footage
of bathurst running at about 1 frame per 50 meters. I'd challenge
*anyone* to show me anything comparable to that!

I also think they tacked on a Ford car body with it being projected on
a screen and rolled it out at a few car shows. People were coming out
amazed. ;)

Cheers,
Rod.

The best bit was that you drove looking through the***pit, with the dash
etc, looking at the back of your car (ala F-10 view).

Ouch! I'd hate to find out what 2nd prize won. ;)

That sounds vaguely familiar so it prolly is correct.

Maybe they were pumping exhaust fumes into the***pit. I think I
saw it around about the time I was really into GP2. I took one look
at this thing and couldn't believe how rudimentary it was. No
physics whatsoever yet it still had the punters grinning like idiots.

Cheers,
Rod.
