Did someone say that this was an Alpha from back in January or something?

Surely there might be time to change it by July!?!  Still though, if you
just don't cheat where's the problem?
People just cheat and ignore black flags sometimes.

Does it?

Only RC2000 has had this IMO, that I have played anyway, but that sorta has,
to its a rally game....

.... is it one of those things that its so miniature and unrecognisable that
we just take Dave Krammers word ?   :-)

who is to say that the slowing you down after cutting corners is not
just another option in the game, that can be turned off ?
or swapped for a stop go penalty ?

and who says that we're seeing/hearing  the most recent release of the
game at melbourne ?

I'd like to know exactly which corner he cut when playing the demo in
Melbourne. You don't need a black flag when you cut corners at Monaco, you
need an Ambulance!

In GPL, I've actually run along a girder round a bend at Monza and
overtaken the opposition!!. I've even driven off with my wheel jammed into
the hedges. GPL is great, but lets face it, nothings perfect. I take it
you've raced GP3, seen it in action? Doubt it. The proper damage model has
yet to be shown. Not only that, I've seen plenty of runoff corner cutting
in F1 without a stop go penalty anyway. I guess all they'd have to do is
say its in the game and never actually do it, and it would be an accurate
simulation!

I wonder if he is "short-sighted" enough to exclude Force Feedback.  I've
hear no mention of it in GP3 yet...

Almost every track - Bump at *** square, Monaco, also bump on final
corner at Zandy, etc. Fantastic realism, especially when you compare
with the real footage.

I agree with Allan, after seeing the game for myself at the GP. Looked
great with the big screens, hyperstims, etc. but still the ol' GP2 we
know too well. For me, I know the game will still be as realistic as
GP2, and the addition of wet weather (properly implemented!!) and
harware acceleration will be enough for me. Pity we couldn't see the
wet weather for real at the display. The two blonde ***s on the side
kept distracting me from the screens though!!

Hopefully the GP2 community will be back in force for GP3, with the
Paul Hoad editor still able to be used. I'm sure Geoff wouldn't tweak
his code too much to prevent this.

Yes it is  a subtle thing at times, gross at others, but I think the
true shape and nature of the road surface is a far more importatnt
issue than track-side graphics.

We can see, feel, and expieience consquences of the 3D road surface in
GPL. This seems more than just taking someone's word that its there.
