Try the joyswitch.  It can handle four primary joysticks and two sets of foot
pedals.  Mail order cost in the US is about $40.  Definitely worth it!

Someone had posted a while ago about a switch that was placed inline
between two joysticks and the game port that allowed you to switch
between them.  I would like to be able to switch between my T1 and
gamepad without climbing behind my cpu to manualy make the switch.  Any
information about a similar product would be helpful.

I wholeheartedly second that. The joyswitch is damn near mandatory for
game/sim freaks! :>

I use the Joyswitch with my T1 and my flcs set up it works great.  And I
hated always having to plug unplug all the time.  Well worth the money.
I've had mine for about a year and a half still works great.
