GP2 how to load a carset

Is there a command line tool available for loading a GP2Edit file into
GP2.  I am trying to automate an update to the original GP2 and would
like to run in batch mode rather than via GUI.

Thanks in advance.

It's a long time ago, but I seem to remember that Gp2EDIT has an option to
generate an exe-patch that contains the carset.

True, but the exe's are IIRC far larger than the .gp2 files. Much better
IMHO to have a command-line switch eg "gp2edit /e:1997.gp2" or something.
