gp2 carsets

I have downloaded and installed the 96 carset and hi-nose***pit.
After running the setup, I see the "new" driver names and numbers, but
the graphics files have not been updated on the screen.  Do I need a
work around when running from the CD, or do I need the "full install",
currently I am running the standard.

I tried a few "carsets" and the most comprehensive one as well as easy to install
would be GP2set31.zip.  Compared to the others, this one DOES NOT leave you
with a bunch of names and a random hierachy of driver strengths.  One that I
downloaded had Lavaggi leading most of the races.  My strong suggestion would be
to backup all the files (not folders) in the GP2 parent directory.  Then backup
all the *.jams in the GP2 subdirectory -Gamejams. You do not need to backup any
subdirectories located in the subdirectory -Gamejams.  This backup idea helped me
this evening when I linked up with a friend over the modem.  The error of
"DATA LINK MISMATCH" was what I saw.  We had two Shumachers etc.  I reverted back
to the default backups and there was no problems.
