It is a real treat on a decent dolby 5.1 setup with IMAX doing their best.
Be warned - the story is short only about 45 mins but very immersive. Some
of the footage around tracks is awesome - bristled hair on the neck type
stuff.

I've watched it about 20times - whenever someone half interested in cars or
home theatre comes by. It's not as special now because the mistakes/
trickery are visible but I still enjoy it.
Definitely worth 5 quid...

It's a great film - I saw it when it came out (twice - the first time was at
the Imax in Ontario, CA (was there for the CART race at California) but it
broke halfway through...second time was when it came to AZ a year later and
saw the whole thing) and now have the DVD.

It is "just" 45 minutes but that's a limit of the IMAX format - IMAX film
runs somewhere near 70FPS I believe, and is a much larger film, like 70mm or
so.  Basically, right about double your standard theater's 24FPS 35mm film,
and let me tell you, having worked "the booth", 90 minutes of 35mm isn't
exactly fun to deal with.  I can only imagine what 45 minutes of 70fps 70mm
is like...

FWIW, before a movie at the IMAX in Chattanooga, TN, they mentioned
that the film is almost 1 foot wide and that the screen is larger than
a professional basketball court.
