Just installed Viper Racing on P2-266mmx...64 ram...voodoo 3....

It runs thru the intro video and then aborts...say it can't load the config.
Have tried sever install/uninstall/reinstall's in typical and compact
modes...anybody have any ideas...

Sound is Soundblaster

Plenty of Hard drive spac... 800mgb

all drivers updated in the last year

don't have the exact wording of the message...says it can't load viper.cfg then
a bunch of "stuff" that is beyond me....

my next step might be to try loading on the work computer...(even if i can't
play here) just to see if it will run...

There is a file "options.cfg" in Sierra / Viper Racing / Config
folder.

It occurs to me that if some junk got in there, it probably will not
be deleted by uninstalling the software, unless you manually delete
that folder after uninstalling before trying another install. So try
that?

what version of windows are you running? A patch was just released a couple
days ago to make Viper Racing compatible with Win2K so that might help you
out
the link for that is http://mgiracing.com/viperpatch12beta.zip
