How to get Viper Racing to run on Win2000?

HI guys
Is it possible to get Viper Racing to run on top of Win2000?

I'm travelling quite a bit, so I use a laptop with Win2000, and for
relaxing in the hotel I thought it would be cool to do a bit of Viper
Racing, but right now it seems that I can only play "spell check".

Can you help me to do just a little bit of racing when I'm away from
my dear GPL and Desktop?

Do you have service pack 2 and the compatibility mode patch? If so have you
tried setting the shortcut up to run the application to run in Win 95 mode?
This usually gets most older stuff to run, but its not a guarantee.

Thomas,

 There is a version 1.2.1 patch floating around if you can manage to
find it. This should help you out with the win2k problems if you can
find it. It also allows for higher poly vehicles. Some one in the
forums at http://rdvr.btwracing.com/ should have a link to it though
