I have GPL v1.0 and amtrying to install the gpl_1201 patch but get the
following error

The file C:\SIERRA\GPL\GPL.EXE is not a valid previous version and could not
be upgraded. Any ideas ??

Are you installing from the Budget GPL CD? If so, the upgrade to 1.2.0.1
is on the CD itself. It doesn't like the one off of the net.

Copy the original from your GPL cd to C:\SIERRA\GPL\, overwriting the
old one, that should do the trick.

Have you added any car files(skins), or other graphics?  Have you run the
'engine changer' program?

Gerry, tried that still the same problem......no skins or anything else like
that just a fresh install.

The UK patch is just a self extracting exe. right click on it and choose to
open with WinZip, then extract it to your gpl folder, that should do the
trick.
