Sierra SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I preordered NASCAR2 in October and it won't be here untill Monday.
Stores here in my town got it on Tuesday or Wensday. I will never order
anything from Sierra again if this they can't do better than this. Get
this I even payed for two day delivery too. You know what will be
happing when it does come? It will be going back to them and they can
forget getting my sale too. I will just race NASCAR Racing instead of
NASCAR2.

That's exactly what I'm doing, but I'm going out tonight to buy a copy
of Nascar2.  When it finally does arrive on Monday, I'll just refuse
delivery and have it returned to Sierra for a refund.

I would never order any game from the manufacturer unless I lived in a
rural area or the game was so obscure that it wasn't likely to be
stocked in the discount computer stores like CompUSA or Best Buy.

Why pay full retail plus shipping and then have to wait for delivery?
It may seem like their will be a shortage of a big name game at
release, but in my experience that is rarely the case.  Think about
it,  what percent of total CompUSA customers are likely to be racing
game freaks like us?  Also , it is very unlikely that you will get it
before they fill the channel. I got mine today at Best Buy on a
raincheck and the shelves were full.

The manufacturer can't discount  it over the phone 'cause they might
undercut the mall stores that still sell at or near retail like
Babagges.  It's called "channel conflict".  Also, they have to
maintain a fulfillment department to ship it to you, which costs
money.

Be smart.  Buy your games through the discount channel whenever
possible.  And don't ever buy on impulse in the mall at Babbages!

Generally I agree, but Sierra had the upgrade for $29 which at the time
was the best price.  Best Buy did have the $10 rebate to lower their's
to that price though.

I really don't think there is an upgrade. Just the
new Nascar!

They had the special upgrade price for registered owners of the
original.  It was still the full version.

Joel, you've completely missed our collective point.  The content of your
messages is not what's at issue here, it's your abysmal spelling, punctuation,
and grammar.  Clean up your act, and we'll start posting better followups to
your messages.  The message I'm replying to should have looked something like
this:

You sound dumber than I do.  Give me a break!  You aren't sending
anything back, man! AND YOU GUYS TELL ME I'M BAD!

Look at it, learn it, live it.

Hey putty dude,  feel assured there is no one here that sounds ' dumber
than you '.  That award is yours, and will probably hang on your wall for
eternity.

Here is your thought for the day:  It is better to remain silent, and be
thought a fool, than to speak up and remove all doubt.

Learn it, live it.

Have a nice day.

   C'mon,

Just try to read what he writes!  I don't know Mr Putty, nor do I
know any of
the many people making use of news groups. Many posts carry poorly
written messages
and can be difficult to decypher. Sometimes they're sad and sometimes
they're funny.

I think, and its only my opinion, its best to just comment on the
thoughts the writer is trying to put across rather than his spelling,
grammar, or educational level.
Is the writer young or old? educated or not? Possibly handicapped?
Could the post be an attempt at English by a non-English speaking
person?
Lets be a little less critical until we know all the facts and then
all of us can and will feel free to exchange ideas.

I mean nothing personal here. Its something I've seen many times
occur and just felt
a need to say something.

C'mon yourself.  This guys continues to post messages this way.  He's either a
complete and total ***in idiot, or he's trying to be annoying.  Either way,
his his messages are damn hard to read.  Spelling "you" as "u" is
nothing but laziness, pure and simple.  Not only that, but most languages use
even rudimentary punctuation, so don't try to sell us on that "poor foreigner"
bullshit.  Handicapped?  Yeah but not in the way that most of us would
categorize as physically impaired.  Old?  I doubt it. Most "old" people still
use proper english.

You're nothing more than a bleeding heart liberal who probably thinks drug
additction is a sickness, *** cartoons warp kids' minds, *** is a
crime agains humanity, and NASCAR shouldn't allow alchohol or cigarette
sponsorship on the cars.  People like you can kiss my redneck ass.

Nothing personal, though...

So well said it had me on the floor in laughing appreciation!
Although the profanity probably pushed the 'intelligence' envelope, just

Well....don't let your anger override your better judgement. NASCAR2 is well
worth the wait. You send it back, you will miss one of the very best games I

I've had mine for 3 days now and I love it.

Agreed, but this newsgroup gets far too many posts for me to waste my
time trying to decypher some of the worse examples. Unfortunately, Joel
Putty's posts give the impression of being those of an immature
individual who somehow thinks ***ing language is "clever". After
spending several minutes trying to actually work out one of them, I
realised that the thoughts of the writer just weren't worth the
considerable effort required to extract them :(

FWIW I am very happy to spend effort reading a post that has been written
by someone for whom English is a second language but who is obviously
making an effort to communicate. Heck, I'm even prepared to put up with
all the American spellings ;-)

Cheers,
Richard
