Charley Bandes and Director J.R. Surprenant resigned from Papyrus, which is a division of Sierra Sports. In an unrelated
development, Mike Lescaut, director of business development, was fired.
Sean Gleason, director of marketing at Sierra Sports, released a statement that said, "The timing of these employees
departures was not simultaneous and the departure of three individuals over a short period of time was coincidental." The
statement further read: "The Papyrus development division has undergone considerable change over the last six months
as Sierra Sports prepares for the future of its motorsports strategy. While we will miss the talents and contributions of the
valued employees that have resigned recently, it will have no impact on our development activities at Papyrus."
The Boston-based Papyrus is currently developing Grand Prix Legends and NASCAR Racing 3. According to Sierra
Sports, the core Papyrus team remains in place, including designer Dave Kaemmer.
