N2K2 & MS FF Wheel

I have started running Nascar 2K2 in XP but am getting intermittent
controls - its like a wierd kind of lag as if there is breaks in
communication between the controller and the game.

Can anyone offer any help or advice please ?

You might try a different USB port.  I have that problem in Win98 but
only on one port, the others are fine.

If you are using WindowsXP with a Via chipset based motherboard, there is a
USB Filter patch available that cures this (assuming that you are using a
USB wheel).  I know that you can find it at www.thomas-superwheel.com even
though you aren't using a TSW wheel.

Thanks for the advice guys - forgot to mention that my MS wheel is actually
a gameport wheel not USB - I have tried an adapter but it only picks it up
as a HID compliant device not an MS wheel.

Yeah - fairly confusing lines from microsoft. Fact is that it works for me
fine with other games - F12K2 for instance, just not Nascar 2002 :((
