You are doing nothing wrong.  You won't notice much unless you connect
a force feedback wheel, participate in online races, have a Voodoo3,
use "low-rider" car setups, or want to tweak the system.

The list of what has changed is in the readme11.txt, which, I believe,
should now be in your gpl folder.  Very few of the changes have any
blatant visual cues as to their existence.

"Blatant visual cues" and dramatic changes to the interface and
functionality will be evident in GPaL. :)

Absolutely! The force feedback is superb! In fact, I might have finished
GPaL a little sooner, if the force feedback not been quite as good. :)

I'm surprised you've gotten ANY work done, Jack.  Relax about GPal -- this
should keep everybody buzzing for a while.

Regards,

Kurt

Ah so the truth comes out! Quick, someone go over to Jack's house and
replace his wheel with a gamepad until GPal is released.

Well, actually, 1.1 does wonders for both V3 *and* Banshee users. No more
batch files, texture memory limits or Glide wrappers required with the new
3dfx rasterizer (rast3dfx.dll)!

So if I don't need the glide wrapper, can I cut the mirror refresh rate in
half without it?  I find that this option increases frame rate dramatically...

half without it? <

Good point, David. Perhaps the only reason to still use the wrapper, though
I'd certainly try 1.1 without it.

Perhaps, George Smiley will do a "Glide wrapper lite" that will just provide
mirror refresh rate adjustability???

If you have installed the NoCDPatch, the Update will not work....

Just reinstall an original gpl.exe and the 1.1 Ptch works fine.
