I'm contemplating returning my AGP Banshee card for a Thriller AGP card
because of the intermittent texture problems I have in GPL with the Banshee.

Questions:

1. What's your view/experience/ideas on the advantage of one card over the
other?

2. Specifically, does the Thriller support 1024 x 768?

FYI: All I do is GPL. System: PII 450 with 128 MB

you need two voodoo2 cards (connected to each other) to do 1024x768 ...

But he was asking about Thriller at 1024x768 anyway! Thriller supports
1024x768!

Jack, I too returned my Banshee for the same reasons.
I got a Canopus Dure #d card. It is nothing short of awesome.

I would highly recommend it.

oops ... sorry Jack, more speed less haste :-(

the Thriller does indeed support 1024x768.

I've only ever got a single voodoo (V2 or Banshee) runnning 1024 with beta
reference drivers.... but, hey, I may be wrong (again!) :-)

Hi guy's and gal's, my Thriller 8mb AGP did indeed support 1024x768 and
looked beautiful on my Pll 233, only problem I have is that after installing
the card, my rigwould no longer detect my winmodem.....chances are if you're
into online racing you're not using a winmodem, but it caught me by
surprise, and now my Thriller sits in a box until I figure out how to
resolve the modem issue, and boy, do I miss it.....9-12 fps now in software
mode, 30-36 w/ Thriller installed.  :<(
