I mean, you can't drive from mid Wales, to Paris via a journey on a train
through the Channel Tunnel! :)

Everything they've said publically is that they want to create the most
immersive, realistic, experience possible in all phases of the sim.
I personally feel that no sim can claim accuracy without significant help
from the real drivers of the cars simulated. If it doesn't impress them,
then how can it impress me? Europress/Magnetic Fields are receiving
physics/force feedback input from a number of drivers, including the '98 BRC
Champion Martin Rowe. They are also receiving input from the individual
teams, car manufacturers, and Mitsibushi engineers.
The accuracy of the physics model is their #1 priority. If the graphics
(which may be the best ever) are an indication as to the quality of the rest
of the sim, then the physics model should be excellent.

All the screenshots look great and the discription sounds like it
will set new standards in Rally sims, but all the shots seem to
show the car from 3rd person.
A***pit mode is an absolute must for any title that is striving for
realism.
So for those of you lucky enough to have seen a beta, is there one?
Thanks.

There are screenshots showing the***pit view at this excellent fan site.

interior for each car with working gauges. Multiple viewpoints within the
***pit.

Hi David,
The only thing I can find about the physics is the next:
"Advanced car physics
Using independent suspension, enhanced crash sequences and
interaction"
Is there more information available?
Nice in theory, however history showed us that this is no guarantee
for a good simulation :-(
Yup, still concerned, though. I also fear there is only support for
DirectInput.

I was a fan of their original Rally Championship (despite the walls,
the physics felt really good), but they lost their good physics when
they followed it up with the arcadey International Rally Championship.
If they use even the physics from Rally Championship, this one should be
a keeper.
Looking forward to it and hoping they concentrate on the realism side.
