I paid $12.95 US dollars... And you're absolutely right... It's MUCH
worse than RC2K. The tracks have quite a bit of variety, but the
handling is horrendous, and crash sequences are your basic tumble
only... The driving model is a joke, and the different cars don't feel
any
different at all. I tried to enable the rear view mirror and half the
screen
went black diagonally! (And I was using a VERY normal NVIDIA TNT!)
Graphics looks so grainy I wonder if I had enabled 320x200 by mistake
(but no, I was using 800x600 "full" mode). The cars look blocky, the
textures look lousy... The terrain has some good spots but the tracks
quickly gets repetitious, esp. when quite a few are "circuit" tracks.
:-P
I think I'll go back to Rally Masters or RC2K... I'm not even going to
bother with the track editor... Maybe I can use this as a Christmas
gift.
:-)
Here's a GENERAL complaint about rally games though... WHERE
are the setup options explained? What effects will they have on your
car? When should you set what where? You get a generic definition
and that's about it. :-P
