Man, this does look very good indeed!
They should have great possibilities to run both great
gfx, and a great
physics model, since there are no AIs (well, at least
not 30 of them!)..
I bought the Network Q Rally Championship sim when it
was new, and had
great fun with it. The physics were quite good, there
were only two
major things that made me deinstall it after the
initial "wow" feeling
had calmed:
1) Not being able to run off properly (this seems to be
overcome here,
hooray!)
If I make a mistake, I'd like to slide off a bank,
thump a tree, roll
into the forest...Anybody seen the '76 RAC (?) video
where there is an
in-car cam of Roger Clarck's Ford Escort BDA taking off
on a jump, and
tumble into the forest?
Arrrrghh, plus the screaming BDAs struggling for
grip...Please, I wanna
BDA!!!
2) The stages were TOO FAST! I mean, I was running
5,6th gear
everywhere, doing 150 MPH all the way! Where were the
great
handbrake-hairpin turns seen in Monte Carlo etc, the
jumpy, twisty stuff
from the finish forests...
Also the graphics were a tad poor when you were on the
rough stuff: even
if you stopped completely, the terrain looked like you
were passing it
doing 120MPH....
Can't wait for the autumn....Trans-Am, N3 (yeah
sure..hehe) and now
this! :-)
