Late last week I recieved the news that Papy has said no to a 3dfx version and
a Verite upgrade.
To me this is very poor.
Personally I would like to see a 3dfx patch simply becasue at that time it
would make the voodoo the only 3D board I need. GL Quake patch 2 is
outstanding and shows a very noticable gap between the voodoo and verite. Or
even at the very least a verite upgrade with better performance still and
anti-alaising, this should be at least the minimum upgrade.
Now maybe the word above I heard was wrong, if so please let me know. I'm just
a little discouraged that Papy may have settled with what they have
graphically and performance wise with N2, which is good but it can still be
quaite a bit better without to much work.
