Video Cards...

Hi,

I am going to be buying a new computer very soon, and was
wondering which video card I should get.  I have the choice between the
STB Lightspeed 128 or the Matrox Millenium.  There is only a $60
difference between the 2.  I mainly plan on using the computer for games
and internet access.  Mainly, ICR2, Nascar, GP2 and Nascar2...  I
probably will end up getting a rendition board in the future, but for the
rest of the year I want a good fast game card with decent to fast windows
capability.

Thanks
        Andrew

I had the same choice about a month ago.  I went with the Matrox.  Now
that I find out how much trouble the STB is haveing with the Nascar2
demo I am glad. ;)
Seriously though, I have heard good things about both cards.  However,
my vote would have to be for the Matrox.

I would have to disagree.  Since the card will be replaced shortly why
spend the extra money for the Matrox, even though it is probably a
better card.  Unless you had someone in mind that wanted a Matrox that
you could sell it to you might as well go with the LS128.  The STB card
is a pretty good card also.  One thing to consider is when the new 3D
cards become available the older 2D card's value will plummet.
