I downlaoded the newest demo from the PAPY site. It came with Watkins Glenn.
Using a joystick, I had a lap time of 1:34.xxx for my first ever run there.  I
get roughly 13 FPS with no graphics.  I went to Sim***world and The Pitts and
they both had a MONZA add-on track for the demo. I followed the directions
carefully, and when I ran the game Monza wouldn't load.

Anybody have any suggestions?

Well, I did the same thing. (tho I didn't have the Herc card at first)

The "new" demo is the same as the retail version... both version 1.0.0.0
or something like that.

I think the main reason you are getting bad frame rates has to do with
the P133. The MINIMUM req for GPL is a 166. And my 233MMX (o/ced to 261)
STILL does not cut it, tho I do get 36 fps in Training with the
Thriller.

Even so, do you have the Rendition card selected in the Graphics
options? You need to quit and restart the game in order for it to work.

But Hardware sounds like the culprit. I'm building a Celeron system (got
90% of the parts) now and it should fly. But you will soon be able to
get 400+Mhz Celerons soon, without Overclocking. check this out...

As for Monza, I think it was avaiable with the earlier demo, but with
this 1.XXX demo it will NOT work. I tried everything imaginable, but it
won't do it.

As much as I love Watkins Glenn  (my home track), I need MONZA!!!!!!  Please if
anyone can hear me!! Please help me find a way to get MONZA to work with the
newest GPL demo!!

I'm not sure anymore, I downloaded the deom from www.papy.com yesterday. and it
came with the Glenn

Radical suggestion - why not buy GPL and then you can enjoy all the
tracks, Monza included?

Call me mad, call me irresponsible, but it seems like a good plan :-)
