CPR and The Diamond Stealth II

I just picked up a Stealth II as part of my PC upgrade '98 initiative.
So far, she's sweet. The DMA Rendition version of Nascar 2 runs like a
dream. The BGN tracks are noticeably slower.

The framerate on CPR is much improved over that of my old S3-based card.
The frame rate and image quality are very impressive. However, there is
a problem with the draw-in and trackside objects under hardware
accelerated mode. It appears as though a large "square" section of the
screen refuses to show anything but sky, thus rendering the mode
undrivable as it obstructs the draw-in and trackside reference points on
the upper-right side of the screen at all tracks.

I've read on a message board of a problem with the draw-in in CPR with
this card. While this affects the draw-in, it really seems more like a
driver issue. It only occurs in hardware accelerated mode and has
nothing to do with the ctrl-f/ctrl-h draw-in settings. I am using the
"verson 101" drivers from Diamond's site, not the "100" version
referenced in the CPR readme.txt. Am I the only one having this problem
or is this a known problem with the card+CPR (i.e., "the draw-in
problem" I read about)?

Cheers,

Jim

P.S. If the upcoming CPR patch improves framerate 25+% and I get this
problem resolved, I may remain voodoo-less for some time. The framerate
per dollar of the Stealth II is outstanding.
