GP3 2000, we supposed to pay for this?

by Fred » Sun, 04 Mar 2001 01:36:34

So..i buy a new sim....GP3
with AI that punts me off the tarmac...with AI that never gets a blue
flag or doesn't understand the concept of a faster car
approaching...so i'm stuck behind the slowest of the bunch for most of
the lap and when i find a place to overtake it still punts me off
cause it wants to drive there.
I get floating cars in the pits...
I get those horrbile 'auto things' like no moving at the start so no
false starts ever, i can not deicde to go 300 in the pits, i forget to
turn off the pit thingie so when i get to the point where the pit lane
starts and i wanna drive on.....bye bye controle...
I don't get a safety car, i get awfull sounds from the stone
ages...each car has the same sound and i seem to be deaf except for my
engine sound and the sound of cars going by on the main straight  when
i'm in the pits..yet i don't hear the other cars when i'm on top of
them...not even in the pits..
I get the 1998 season with a few tracks "missing"(yes..i know i can
download them)
I can't drive it for a month or more cause it doesn't support split
axis.
and so on and so on...

Now comes GP3 2000...
Someone tell me this is free...if it's not..someone tell mister
Crammond to stick it up a very dark place.

I was the worlds biggest GP3 fan - but after a few months - a completely
agree with eveything you've said.

The only sim I'm yet to see that I feel is worth a dime - is WSC.

I told crammond the idiot, to shove his piece of garbage GP 2.5 and refused
to purchase it. I now have the latest installment from EA and enjoy a real
sim with nice graphics. Crammond is over rated.

Well, actcually the AI do move over for you when they get lapped, and it
does support split-axis with the patch.  In fact, I think the AI are the
best I've seen anywhere (which is just plain sad).  But on the whole, I
pretty much agree with what you're saying.

EA are equally guilty of releasing patches badged as new products - i.e.
f12000 and f12000 cs

Yea, but I can buy F12KCS for only $24.99 Canadian. New games usually
cost $60.00 to $69.00 here. F12KCS is great value at that price even
if you already own F12K.

Yes & still want $40+shipping from many places on & off the web for
f1CS2000. So if you paid $40 for f12000 & $40 more for f12000CS
your almost into a $100.. phew.. just my $00.02.. no more no less.
