When I hit F2 to view replays in GPL, I no longer get any text on the
screen. In other words, where it would normally have an arrow pointing left
followed by "Pit Lane" or "Gearbox" and an arrow pointed right, I just have
the two arrows. Ditto for where it shows the drivers name to the left of
the VCR controls and for all the info that would normally be at the top of
the screen. The odd thing is that when i access the replays via the splash
screen (where you have the green flag in the bottom right & the red flag in
the bottom left - I don't know a better name for that screen), all the info
is there. Does anyone else have this problem? I just noticed this
recently - it had always been fine before & I haven't changed my video
drivers, DirectX settings, GPL.ini files, etc., etc.

Any ideas & suggestions would be most appreciated.

Have you got different resolutions selected in GPL & in Windows as I know
that sometimes screws up text.

Yep, 800x600 in both cases. It's just so odd, cause I really haven't
changed anything in GPL except adding a couple tracks (which shouldn't do
anything to the replays, i presume). Is there a specific file that controls
replays that i could reinstall, or is this going to require a complete GPL
reinstall? Of course, I'm looking for the easy fix...

I use the 28.32's on the same card, in the car everything is great, but
when I exit, I'll often see the first screen flash. Changing to the garage
and then coming back usually fixes that.

Yeah, I have the screen flash too (yes, I have loaded teh GPLEA cars), but I
didn't bother posting about that since it's easily fixed with a jump out to
the previous screen.

I guess it must be related to the cars, as I switched to the Lotus and don't
have the replay (or flashing screen) problems with it. It's only
reproducable in the Eagle and Honda - but since my 'car of choice' is the
Eagle, it's a little frustrating.

I guess I'll fire an e-mail to the great folks at the GPLEA and see if this
is something that can maybe looked at in future releases. I'd be really
disappointed if their upcoming Ferrari causes the same problem (otoh, I'd
still use the car as the preview video they released looks spectacular).
