As I recall ICR2 (95) was the first time Sierra was the publisher (ICR and
Nascar were ***). N2 (end of 96) was definitely before GPL (98).

Sierra was the publisher in 95 but I don't know when Papy became a division
of Sierra.

You *** about the Nascar sims.  Without the $ they made, no gpl moron,
Sierra or not.  Oh, and you might want to tell Sierra about your thoughts of
when they bought Papy; my N2 box, bought upon release, has Sierra written
all over it................dumbass.

N2 predated gpl, and hawaii was years before vroc.

Ahhh....  Hawaii....
Those were the days...  :o)

Who would have thought that in 2004 - "almost" 10 years after Hawaii saw
first light - there's only a handful of sim-titles that got better
multiplayer code/support than it had...

Boy I forgot about that...I raced Hawaii a couple of times with the
original.  Got to race those races with some great people.  Nascar
Racing was the start of something so great.  I have lost the CD
probably a couple of years ago, but I still fire up the original
Indycar Racing CD a couple times a week!

Sierra did publish it but I think they actually bought Papy out later,
but I admit I could be wrong. The point is that Sierra did/does own
Sierra and it was after this purchase where Papy was forced to make
only Nascar games.

Screw you dork. LOOK! DER??? My bwain hurts.

Was it really an ownership situation? I thought Papy was Papy, and
Sierra
was their publisher and Vivendi Universal was the parent company to
Sierra.

Yea, and GPL failed in the marketplace, at least by Sierra's
standards. After that Papy was forced to make Nascar sims ever since.
OK. I admit I was wrong about when Sierra bought them out but the
point still stands. Dumbass.
