I've been stuck to the screen for weeks now with Papyrus' stunning game,
and what I cant figure out is this:

In the sound options screen, there is an option to control the volume
of the ANNOUNCER.  WHAT ***king announcer?  Is there supposed to be a commentary or something?

There is definitely no speech on my game(the CD version) except for the bloke
at the intro followed by that slick rock track.

Has anybody got any answers for me??  It's driving me mad!

Thanks in advance.

I just got the game this week and I'd like to know the answer to
this too.  From what I've seen so far this is a great game.  Although
car set-ups are really tough to figure out, any tips.

Sleepy,

I'm pretty sure that the announcer in the beginning (Ned Jarrett)

is the only announcer affected. As far as I know there are no other
announcers. To prove this, just turn the volume down and restart the
program.

From what I can gather, there is *no* announcer in the game. Apparently
the option for annoucer volume is to allow for future versions which *may*
have an anouncer.

The announcer will probably be for things like "Yellow Flag", "You've been
black flagged", and maybe some other info like telling you times over the
'radio'.

I could be wrong, anyone know any different?

The announcer at the start of NASCAR is the only voice you will ever
hear cause that's all there is. You'll get no tips from me cause I've had it
for 2 months and I still haven't got the hang of set-ups yet.
