I am still at a loss as to whether the MX300 game port is any different
better than Creative Labs...and even whether all of CL's are the same
(doubtful).  It seems as though a dedicated game port (particularly the
PDPI) cures jittering and calibration problems.  It seems as though the
digital/force feedback wheels have NO jittering problems whatsoever.  The
Logi is actually an analogue wheel with digital output and the R4 "digital"
wheel from Saitek isn't digital at all.

It also seems that many, many people have serious jittering and calibration
problems...how do you survive GPL??  What are you doing to cure them?  GPL
is as good as unplayable if you don't have a well-functioning controller.

I like the design of the R4 (non-FFB), but it seems as though it is plagued
with problems...and I'm on the 4th one with *** jittering on two
different sound card/game ports....

Man, this is frustrating.

I appreciate all the feedback I got to my earlier post about the "shakes",
but I can't say I am any more enlightened now than before..  Shouldn't we
all get similar results with controller/port configurations...like we do
with similar sound, video, and other hardware?

Marc

I'm still getting the jitters as well but I'm learning to count to ten when
it makes me crash out and I find that I'm smashing a lot less coffee mugs as
a
result.

It could be worse - you could be the dude that has to cut the grass at
Mosport :-)

I am glad you have such a great sense of humour about all of this!!!

It seems as though electrical interference of some description is the bug we
are after with the Saitek wheels...  There is no other explanation so
far....
