Thrustmaster Formula T2 Pots

Hi,

I need to replace the all the pots of my old Thrustmaster T2,
but Thrustmaster doesn't service it anymore.

Does anybody has the specs of the pots and a place to
buy them, preferably in europe?

thanks in advance,

Joachim

Hi,

The pots in the T2 are just regular pots. I don't have their number at
hand here, but if you take one out and go to any shop that sells
electrical components, they'll have it.

Within the last couple of months, I ordered and got three new pots from
Thrustmaster on their web site for free.  Is their free support no
longer working?  The wheel may not be the most durable, but they have
been exemplary in supplying new parts as they break.

Hi Don,

I always ordered and got new pots from Thrustmaster.
But now, as they don't longer produce the T2, they have
limited stock of the pots, so they would only send them
to a customer who bought it within a one-year warranty
timeframe. My T2 is about 3 years old.

I think it's time to upgrade to a new wheel soon.
(By the time the GPL-Patch is out, I need a FF Wheel.)

I have a Thrustmaster T2.  It's getting harder and harder to calibrate the
steering (pedals are fine).  I've had mine well over three years and have
used the ***out of it.  Pedal springs were replaced about 18 mos. ago
thanks to the great support I got from Thrustmaster.

I'm trying to find another T2 unit.  I really like it.  But, is there
something better?
The pedals on their nascar version look rather delicate.   Anyone have a
working T2 for sale?

Send TM an E-mail, and they'll send you a replacement pot(s) for free, and any
other
parts you may need. My T2 has survived most sim titles, and is still alive:-)

Me too, heck, I've kept upgrading because of these Papyrus titles <vbg>

It looks like Thrustmaster is pulling in their support for their older
wheels.  However, if you remove the pot and take it apart and wipe the
inside surfaces clean, the pot should be almost as good as new.

Regarding the NASCAR Pro pedals, they are robust and can take the
punishment.  If it's the NASCAR Sprint, you bet the pedals are a
throw-away item (retailers said they wouldn't carry any wheels that
didn't have pedals).  For TM products, I would say the Super Sport is
their best product out right now (approx. $70.00).
