It is essentially the same as the T1 except it adds real pedals
instead of the rollers, and a padded wheel.  The wheel remains
10" in diameter, but it is covered in a thick vinal covered
foam padding.

Does anyone know if they have added buttons on the wheel for shifting up and
down, and removed the silly little shifter knob from the side of the unit.
This would make it more appropriate for Formula 1 racing.

Nope.  Besides the padded wheel and pedals replacing the
rollers, there are no differences.  Same shifter, same two red
buttons on the 'dash'.

           Weird....I sent them e-mail today about the T2 at
3:00 and heard back by 4:30.  Try resending it.

Does anybody know if you can buy the T2's new padded wheel seperately
and put in on a T1?  I've sent two or three e-mail messages to
Thrustmaster regarding this, but I have heard no response so far.

YA they sent me mail back really soon (next day) three or four times so
like Evan said, try re-sending it..
