Why?
Because Hasbro (or maybe Microprose) and Ubi is same company level...
Papy  programming only carsims, and inside Ubisoft lot of little teams
(company, just like Papy), who make total different games.
Like some do kids games and some consolegames.
And I play lot of GPL and MGP RS2, and love them both.
There is no big different "game engines", GPL got better original sounds
(that can chance RS2), and dampers are softer, how it should be to older
cars.
RS2 cars feel really thight modern F1 car, like it should be......
Both games are exellent...

Uh ?  Hasbro and Microprose are the same.  Hasbro bought Microprose. None of
those companies are related to Papyrus.

Well that's not really true.  I know how Ubisoft works, they have a big HQ
in Montreal.  They do have a specialized team that works on most of their
racing games.  Speedbuster, Pod, F1RS, MGPRS2, all the console ports, etc..
Where you get those "facts" ?

WELL, ist my bad english maybe?!
You compare allways Papy and Ubi, and talk some POD and F1RS "game engine"
and plaa plaa..
Just wondering, are you finish even one lap in RS2. That is not even close
POD, hey boy.

Did you know what is Guitar 1 (learn to play guitar) or Rayman 2 (kids
arkadejumping)
When Papy make something like that? Or Chris Roberts
When you learn talk right argumets? (I mean, who make really RS2?)
Is RS2 release Canada yet?
Here in Finland release date was year ago, and never get tired that so deep
and lot suprises giving Racing Simulation (2)game, I mean deeper than you
can ever know.
But, also Grand Prix Legend give me lot fun and challence in expert
mode...................But not even close perfect.
C. Roberts and Ubi programmers understand what mean "feel of speed", only
high level sim is not enough....

Well, we got RS2 very early. I guess that's because Ubisoft is a French
company and the main language in Quebec is French... Not to mention that
part of the game was done in Montreal. So we have been playing the for a
while now (try around February 1998 ;) And yes, it's as buggy as the
other game game before (6 patches already) and yes, it still feels
"artificial" Graphics are good but the graphics doesn't translate to
good gameplay. I have nothing against Ubisoft. Their upcoming rally game
looks great, but RS2 is far far from being the great game you seem to
think. Well, that's my opinion anyways.
