Having just joined RASCAR, could someone tell me if there's a race tomorrow
and if so where is and where do we meet?

Cheers Lee

Go to East/9 between 3:30 and 4pm eastern.  Guys usually show up there
and shoot the breeze waiting for the race to start.

Also, I might add that we usually run on a dedicated server provided
by Eldred, but he is taking a break so we will probably did what we
did last week and hijack a server so there might be a little bit more
confusion tomorrow than there normally is while we find a server to
run on.

Besides: Aren't Sierra supposed to be down tomorrow?  I think my message of
today stated that there will be some downtime saturday.

Actually, seeing as you guys are on daylight saving time, GMT or UTC
(unaffected by DST) is only 4 hours ahead of you. For practical purposes,
however, British Summer Time (the actual time in England, Scotland and
Wales) or BST is at the usual +5.

Guys,

Sorry.  Checked the server and N2002 did an illegal operation.  Restarted it
okay but everyone gave up I guess, don't blame you :)

I noticed our pings were pretty high.  I'm not sure why.  Weather here isn't
that bad (C***te).

This T1 was used for N4 and I don't think it ever crashed (N4) once.  To
start the server today I had to install the 1102 patch and got a validating
window that never closed but the download had completed.  So I aborted the
validating thing, and ran the update from Windows and it finished fine.

But those pings were really pretty high so I'm not sure what it was.  I'll
talk to David about that T1 and I'm sure he'll let us use it.  It's just
sitting there.  I just need to figure out why N2002 acted up where N4 did
not.

and no Mike I didn't do that to you on purpose LOL (blush)
:)

disco'd on transition between practise and qualifying... connection to
server times out.

Anyhow, Tim, thank you very much for your efforts. If you could get hold of
the server to host more regularly that would be great.

I don't think that'll be a problem.  But it really bugs me why those pings
were so high for us as clients.

I had servers down pat w/N4 and I really didn't look into using it for
N2002.  If there aren't any issues there then its just getting the T1 back
in use regularly.   I consult for them and I'm the only guy who supported
it.  Now, they only use it for web surfing, email.  So it may be that Nuvox
has had poor service in that area and no one has noticed.

In any case I'll find out what I can this week.

I honestly don't think he'll let it be an Open Server since they turn off
the firewall to host.  It's not on a hub etc.  The T1 goes directly into one
PC.  But he'll probably let RASCAR league admins boss it.
