On any cable modem setup, Download bandwidth is what makes cable modems
so great. There are only a handful of hosting parties such as web pages
and online games and ect.., There are a large number of downloading
parties though. So, Downloading is more important to the internet and
ISPs then uploading is. (just my opinion).
I can download at 396.xxx/second with my cable modem to my cable ISP.
But, I can only upload at a very reduced rate/second. I don't know what
that upload rate is.
To answer your question, YES, your upload rate will be smaller then
your download rate. By how much? I don't think there is any kind of a
standard(?)
