GPL stutters while connected to ethernet

by Rolf Weseman » Mon, 23 Sep 2002 04:19:04

Hi,
now I'm connected to ethernet and find the problem, that I have some evil
stutters after some rounds. I think, its the eternet-connection. But what
can I do to eliminate this, I'm going into internet via the router, this
means, ethernet is neccessairy for me.

Thanks in advance,
Rolf

When I went to cable modem, I got bad framerate stuttering in GPL, online only.
After trying what seemed like everything, it turned out that I had clock
adjust method set to old style.  Switched it to new and everything is great.
This setting is in the advanced tab of the VROC connection window.  Your router
may have some firewall functions which are interfering with GPL.  NIC cards
vary just like modems do, some are as bad as a Winmodem.
