Can I run GPL with this machine, and will it be driveable?

200mmx
64 megs of ram
Matrox Millennium II 4mb (pci)
Creative Sound Blaster 32

P.S. A new PC is out of the question, but a new 3-D card, is in the near
future. Leaning toward STB 12mb BLACKMAGIC 3D or , STB VELOCITY 4400, any
suggestions?

You'd have to play in software mode, and run in low detail, and you can
forget about racing any AI cars (no more than a few anyway), but yeah, it'd
be drivable with that :-)

I prefer the Diamond Viper 550 16MB card, but I do not know how it would work
with GPL, if anything CAN work with GPL????????

Yup, it will work..... but don't expect any startling frame rates, my spec is
exactly the same Plus I have a Diamond Monster-II 3DFX. I get about 25fps on
average..... it will depend on how many cars are in view, the amount of
graphics detail etc. I plan to up-grade soon.... 100mhz FSB bus motherboard
and Celeron 350mhz proc.

I have same machine, I put a thriller 8 meg in and I can decent frame
rates.I had a 3dfx and the thriller (rendition) is alot better.

hey

I run the same config with 32 megs and its ok to run online with it in 3dfx,
but u hve to have most of the candy turned off, which doenst really phase me
