This is meant for Jim Sokoloff, or other employees of excellent papyrus;

Having bought and enjoyed (still am..) all your autosims, I wonder how
you get it so right. As far as I can tell, realism is only limited by
the computers and not your will to implement it.
How much research goes into these games? Are you just a gang of
motorheads borrowing racecars, then jumping at your puters programming
what you felt, or do you just call up Mario and say;"Hey Mario, we`re
making a computer sim. Come on over, have a few beers, and tell us how
it should be!":-)

It would be really interesting to know to which extent you do your
research. Of course, I don`t expect to get a full answer on this one...

Well, we just sent a bunch of people to Skip Barber's 3-Day
Competition school at Laguna Sega. (And this isn't the first time...)

I highly recommend that course to anyone who really wants to get a
good feel for what driving a car at the limit is... (assuming you can
afford the course: just over $2000 I think)

me too, but not sure how much I REALLY enjoy that oprn wheel stuff to tell
ya' the truth.

AND what the consumer THINKS is realistic. Most people think race cars have
gas gauges so they put it in to keep us happy.

        Both,

many of the Papyus employies have had experience in a race car. (Jim S. is
one of them)

Jeff Goron and the Labonte brothers have put a lot of input into nascar 2
ans nro(s) Especially Boby.

well the paint on the track has differant traction levels than the rest of
the track s this says anything.

happy sking!
