GP Legends Patch

Does anyone know of one yet?  Or has anyone managed to get a Thrustmaster GT
Force Feedback wheel to work with it?

Thanks

Why should there be a patch for GPL? It's your wheel that ain't working, so
ask Thrustmaster to do something about it.

Well there are bugs in GPL especially online. And it maybe GPL and not his
wheel - who are we to say?
Cheers,
Paul

Papyrus has posted here that they are aware of problems with GPL that
will cause digital controlling devices to not work in GPL.  Besides,
Thrustmaster and Papyrus are working together to find a solution.

No, they were just *taller* than Jesus.

Don't openly say that GPL needs a patch or you'll find some really vitriolic
posts coming your way. I suggested FF support would be a benefit and got
shouted down so much you'd have thought I'd said that the Beatles were
bigger than Jesus or something.

Be careful around these parts. You could slag off any other game though,
that seems to be OK.

Merely suggesting the need for a patch to GPL is not a high crime - in
fact, GPL is need of a patch - not a dire need, but a need nonetheless.
Anyone that's driven the sim knows this, and is probably as eager as I am
to see one hit the streets.

And for all those people that despise GPL (for whatever reason) should
also be loking forward to a patch so they can use the existance of the
patch to further substantiate their claim that GPL sucks.

So you see, a patch, in the end, serves everybody's purpose.  Everyone
will be happy to see such a patch.  everyone wins.  Isn't America
wonderful?

Strangely enough I too saw that thread, and I recall it to be along
the lines of "FF would be great if it was done properly, but with
current FF it would most likely be a waste of efort". The vitriol
meter didn't peg at all (or at least no higher than usual in these
parts!).

I'd love FF in GPL, but if I'm going ot get "shake the wheel when I
hit the wall" then forget it. You need something which communicates
the grip level of the tyre, locking, wheelspin, track bumps, that sort
of thing. TOCA2 has a fair stab at it.

Cheers!

Probably me being over sensitive. MGPRS2 has pretty good FF. You get jolts
as the gears change, rumbles over bump strip, steering pulls if you put a
wheel on the grass but best of all is the way the resistance lessens as you
lose the front end. This improved my times as I can tell exactly when the
front starts to slide.

The comment in the manual about FF only being good enough to let you know
when you've crashed is a cop out IMHO.
