Centering the Logitech FF

by brent.. » Sun, 19 Sep 1999 04:00:00

My Logitech FF X-axis center seems to be slightly off-centered (to the
right about 7 degrees).  In a standard calibration screen, after
steering fully to the right and left several times, I can let the wheel
be at center, but on the bar on the screen it shows an arrow to right
of center.  And depending on the game, the car may pull to the right.
Any suggestions for getting this perfectly centered?  Thanks.

Do you have the latest drivers from Logitech? From the Wingman Formula Force
Properties  window, select the About tab and click on Internet Update. The
3.25 driver should correct your centering problem.

Hope this helps,

Is it serious?
Could be that the poti is not working proportional. I guess that you
have the same potis in your pedals, so you can exchange.
The other way to get the wheel to the center is to give more travel to
one side when calibrating. If the logi is stil under warranty, return
it. If not, open it and take of a little material from one stopper.
