You'll have to set your desktop to 16 bits for N4 to work in 16 bit
mode in OpenGL.
Or, if you don't want to do this, you can try N4Assistant, which has
an option of switching desktop to 16 bits before launching N4 and then
switching back to your original bit depth after N4 exists.

Just be sure to read the 16-bit part of the readme so you know how to
set it up correctly.
