I've been getting anywhere from 20 to 30 fps. I've read on several posts
that running 16 bit color will dramatically improve fps. My problem is when
I go to change my graphics setting, when I select OpenGL, all I get are
options for 32 bit color.
How do you select 16 bit color?

Change your desktop resolution to 16 bit and then reconfigure, that should
get 16 bit choice.
You have to set your Desktop to 16 bit color first...

Or, if you don't want to do this, you can try N4Assistant, which has
an option of switching desktop to 16 bits before launching N4 and then
switching back to your original bit depth after N4 exists.

Just be sure to read the 16-bit part of the readme so you know how to
set it up correctly.
