your satisfaction.
The Millenium 2 has supposedly slightly better 3D than the mystique,
which isn't too hot (I have one). It would be running via the D3D
version of F1, my suggestion is not to bother with F1 in this respect.
The current Matrox cards aren't really capable of the high speed 3D
needed to run _most_ accelerated games. They _will_ run of course, but
not very well.
Try to think of the Millenium 2 as a very good 2D card with limited
free-D capability (pun intended). It's 3D is no substitute for a non
free-D card.
Current Performance 3D cards are:
3Dfx Voodoo (voodoo rush too, though wouldn't recomend it)
Rendition Verite v1000 (soon to be followed by v2200)
Videologic 3Dx
STB Velocity 128 (Nvidia Riva chipset)
These are listed more or less in support order, 3Dfx having most
support at present - Nvidea Riva having the least.
3Dfx Voodoo & Vidologic 3Dx are both addon boards, the other 2 being
complete 2d/3d solutions. (voodoo rush is a 2d/3d solution too)
