It seems that virtually all of the sites that review videocards use either
standard 3D benchmarks or use Quake 3, Unreal, or some other first person
shooter to asess framerates. This can lead you to expect similar framerates
with other games such as racing sims, but it has been my recent experience that
Quake 3 and Unreal will run extremely fluidly and fast on almost any system or
videocard (60 to 120 frames per second), while many racing sims will bog down
even 1 GHZ + super systems to barely 30 frames per second at times.
Does any site review videocards with racing sims, to anyones knowledge ?
