Where can info be found on this????
how can we be sure its no hoax???

  You can't be sure it's not a hoax until Papy makes an official
announcement.  And when that time is????  Nobody knows...I would suspect
they will hold off announcing until all licensing issues are resolved.

Until something appears on the papy site, just assume it's all false.

GPL2 ???

Having read all the rumours, there is no concrete information at all.
Someone actually talked to Dave Kaemmer and the only positive thing was
that he wouldn't actually deny that Papyrus was working on GPL2.

I'd expect some sort of announcement at E3 in May 2002, otherwise it was
probably considered then dropped.
