NASCAR Qualifying Problem

NASCAR Qualifying Problem

I'm having problem with qualifying in the Papyrus Nascar Racing game.  I
ran 191.25 mph in Talladega, which should give me 15th place in the
starting grid.  But the computer ranked me as last, even though the
drivers in 16-38th place all had lower speed than I did.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with the game?  Is this a bug?
Please help

Howard

In theory, practice and theory are equivalent; in practice, they are not.

Are you running your full 2 laps of qaulifying???  Talladega is the only
track in the sim where you need to run 2 laps for your qualifying speed.

I don't think that's the problem because New Hampshire gave me the same
problem.  But I can get my speed ranked by saving the session and then
going back.

I can't get even close to the lowest qualifying speed on most tracks.
Any hints?

Howard

Howard, was it your first qualifying attempt? I don't know how close NR follows NASCAR
rules, but normally, 1st round qualifiers are guaranteed their starting positions(or at least
the first XX number of cars).
