I am having tremendous fun with it, especially with the track editor. Over
the Thanksgiving holiday, I enjoyed the rental of it while all the
pigskin-heads watched the Steelers game (anybody see that awfully bad
"incomplete pass" call? Grrr...). I really had fun with the Dual Shock pad
and the graphics.
But now, after spending an hour making Monza for the GP bikes, I can commend
Electronic Arts for a job well done. This I found odd: there is an "Arcade"
and a "Simulation" mode, and the sim mode almost rivals Motocross Madness
(god, how I hate that one...) - the physics model is the same, but the grip
and handling responsiveness is reduced to that of a real bike. I can even
spin under power, exiting a slow corner in the GP bikes! And you don't just
bounce off the walls or barracades now...you crash - or worse, fling
yourself along the trees behind the barracade.
Just my $0.02 - all I could afford...
