Any consumer production cars for F12001?

by Alai » Fri, 15 Mar 2002 05:17:15

I was wondering if anyone has created plain old production cars for F12001?
I would love to take a bouncy, heavy production car around these tracks for
the fun of it and to compare them with the race cars.  I think it would be
especially great to drive something like an old Buick GNX, Trans Am, Cobra,
or some other old heavy V8 muscle car with a bouncy suspension.  Sure a
modern production car would be fine, as long as the suspension and weight is
consumer grade.  Call me crazy, but production cars are definitely more
difficult to race, and I would like the challenge.  Please let me know if
any add-on cars of this sort are available.  Thanks.

Some of the cars originally modelled for Ruud's Racer have been converted to
F1 2001 I believe. Stecki's Minis and Celicas are particularly good, and
possibly also Strat's Xsara WRC. I've not played F1 2001 so I can't speak
for their in-game physics

I don't know if Stecki's gorgeous Alpine A110 models have been converted
yet, and from the sounds of it you might also be interested in Ryan T's
Mustang 350R....

Sorry, don't have urls for you but I'm sure others do....?

Thanks!  The cars available at this site seem to be sport "tuned", including
wheels and suspension, but I'll check it out.

I found a link on that site to the "Trans Am Road Racing Mod" at BTWR, that
sounds promising!
