Has anyone out there heard of a (reasonably) affordable stereographic
imaging system that could be used to play GPL?

I believe GPL can support OpenGL, so that would presumbly allow it to be
used with a system designed for the serious 3D applications market
(although that obviously means it's likely to be expensive!).

Just seems like the next logical step...  ;-)

PS: I don't care if it doesn't have a VR head-movement-detector system -
it's just that I'd like to be able to judge distances better (after all,
you wouldn't drive on the road with one eye shut, would you??).

Wow - I've now discovered http://www.stereo3d.com - looks like
stereoscopic 3D has already arrived in the games market in a big way!

Only thing is, it looks like games have to be specifically written to
support it (a large number already have, by the look of it).

So, my next question is: has anyone out there actually tried any of
these systems, and do they help in driving games?

PS: I do hope this is another reason why they're bringing out GPL 1.1!
